Sandy McLelland  - University of Utah

I work as an Academic Coordinator at The University of Utah.  I coordinate the Returning to the U Program.  This program is designed to invite former University of Utah students back to the University to complete their bachelor’s degree.  All of these individuals are non-traditional students.  I do have the opportunity to work with students at all levels but my passion is working with non-traditional students.

I became interested in ANTSHE over a year ago.  I felt this organization would be a good fit for me.  I volunteered to work with ANTSHE last November.  I have been serving as the Membership Officer since that time.  At this time though, I would like the opportunity to move into the role of Conference Coordinator.

During my years at The University of Utah I have had the opportunity to serve on many conference planning committees for University, state and national conferences.  I chaired the conference for the Utah Advising and Orientation Association (UAOA) in 2005, and served on the SLC local planning conference committee for the 2002 National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) annual conference.  I feel my past experiences provide the skills necessary to successfully fulfill the role of ANTSHE Conference Coordinator.
