The ANTSHE National Treasure Award is given by nomination to professors for their dedication
and support of non-traditional students on their campus. The award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in their respective positions, and who exemplify those who support (through action) non-traditional students throughout the year.

2007 National Treasure Award
was awarded to:

Dr. L. Drew Rosen
Professor @ University of North Carolina, Wilmington (UNCW)
Info Systems and Operations Mgmt
Cameron School of Business

Nominated by former ANTSHE Secretary M.J. Giammaria.

In her nomination letter M.J. describes Dr. Rosen as a "champion for non-traditional students..." and "when life happens, Dr. Rosen is willing to assist and go the extra mile, especially for non-trads."   When asked how he recognizes the knowledge and experience of non-trads in his classrooms Dr. Rosen says " Realizing the wealth of information and life experience that non-trads have it only makes sense to use that as a tool to improve upon our [classroom] process...It's amazing how much I've learned from non-trads as well, as most have 'lived' the lesson for the day."

M.J. concluded her nomination by saying,  "Dr. Rosen exemplifies what a National Treasure is and how fortunate I have been to experience his style of teaching."  The ANTSHE Board of Directors couldn't agree more!

Congratulations Dr. Rosen and thank you for your continued support!
