History

Today the fastest growing population of students worldwide is non-traditional. They are pursuing careers, raising children and providing extraordinary service as volunteers in their communities while they go to school.

Often this population goes unrecognized and under served by educational institutions.  In October 1996, a group of people, representing academic institutions throughout the United States and Canada and dedicated to the improvement of services to adult students in higher education, formed ANTSHE to fill the needed role of advocate for these students.
